The Kidde 7CO carbon Monoxide alarm features an electrochemical sensor, the operation of which is 10 years, 3 years longer than for a standard sensor.
The CO detector is powered by 3 batteries 1.5 volts AA which are to be replaced every year. An audible signal tells you when the battery is low and it is time for a change.

The Kidde 7CO carbon Monoxide alarm is powered by batteries 1.5 volts that have a shelf life of approximately 12 months.
